Updated 10/21/09At this time we have placed 3 sets of the mamas and their babies. Two sets have moved to new homes in Tucson and 1 mare went to a 4-H home and the filly to a home with many other horses.
Chica and Rocky are still available for adoption. They are now halter broke and ready for some ground training.
Recently we took in 4 Mustang mares with their babies that were headed for slaughter to Juarez, MX. Heart of Tucson along with another rescue facility purchased the mams and babies for $150 a pair.
The horses are now in foster homes where they will be gentled and trained so they can be adopted to new and forever loving homes.
This is WONDERFUL NEWS!
ReplyDeleteThe idea that we can still ship animals to MX is abhorrent to me, and I believe against the law.
